Natalie Lamb, Executive Director

Natalie moved to the Garren Creek community in December of 2023, after living in Texas most of her life. Natalie, her husband, five children, and three dogs landed in Fairview, NC in search of a community surrounded by nature and a nearby city with a vibrant arts scene. In her free time she enjoys hiking, live music, crocheting/crafting, travel, and tap dancing.

Natalie earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University and is still a licensed RN, even though she spends most of her time raising her kids these days. Her background includes working as a nurse at a major Dallas hospital and college health center, counselor and eventually nurse at a year-round camp for individuals with disabilities, parks & recreation children’s programming, and facilitating community health efforts.

In the first days post-Helene in September 2024, Natalie and her family jumped in to help neighbors by creating a disaster relief center alongside other community members. With a background in serving others, this felt like a natural fit, and visions of meeting long-term community needs spurred the idea of a more permanent community center, food pantry, and clothing closet. She feels honored to be a part of the Garren Creek Foundation and has big plans for continuing to cultivate a strong sense of community on Garren Creek and surrounding areas.
